Built from real AV project work
Austin K. Phillips is the Founder/Owner of AP AI Software LLC and a certified commercial audiovisual professional with more than a decade of experience in AV installation, field service, system design, estimating, project management, site surveys, sales engineering and construction documentation.
His work has carried him from active job sites and equipment rooms to customer discovery, detailed system design, proposals and project handoffs. That experience includes corporate, education, healthcare, government, industrial, house-of-worship and sports environments.
He created AP AI Software to build connected tools that preserve what professionals learn in the field and carry that information forward into accurate, reviewable and buildable designs.
Our origin
A personal tool became a larger idea
The idea began as a tool Austin wanted for his own work. Commercial AV site surveys often leave the room as a disconnected collection of measurements, photographs, notes, sketches and customer requirements. After the visit, that information has to be reconstructed into plans, equipment records, estimates and design documents.
The more he studied the problem, the more he saw an underserved gap: the tools available in his day-to-day work did not provide one connected field-to-design workflow. Repeated entry and disconnected handoffs cost time, lose context and create opportunities for preventable errors.
What started as a way to improve one person's workflow became AP AI Software after Austin realized that a connected approach could make a meaningful difference in how AV teams capture, design and deliver their work.

AP AI Software is building connected tools to address workflow gaps Austin has experienced firsthand. Our aim is to reduce repeated work and preventable errors, and carry reliable field information into reviewable, buildable solutions.

Our vision
AP AI Software is building a connected software platform for the professionals who survey, plan, design, estimate, and deliver complex systems.
We are beginning in audiovisual work, where valuable information is often divided among field notes, photographs, measurements, drawings, estimates, and separate software systems. Our vision is to create a more connected workflow in which accurate project information can move forward from the field, through design, and into the work required to deliver a buildable solution.
AV Fields and AV Suite are being developed as complementary tools within that vision. AV Fields is intended to help professionals capture and organize structured site information on iPad. AV Suite is being developed as a native macOS application for sales engineering, design and estimating, Operations/PM and integrated Field review, with Windows to follow. The workflow keeps qualified professionals responsible for technical decisions, validation, and final approval.
Over time, the same foundation may support professionals in adjacent skilled trades that face similar challenges with field documentation, project handoffs, and fragmented workflows. AP AI Software’s long-term goal is to build practical, connected tools that reduce lost information, improve collaboration, and help experienced professionals make better-informed decisions.
One connected workflow
Field capture and the full project workflow
AV Fields is being built to capture structured site information while the room is still in front of the field professional. AV Suite is being developed to carry reviewed field data forward into preliminary AV design, estimating, proposals and professional engineering documentation, then support an approved handoff to operations and project management.
Selected AP AI Software products are intended to use AI-assisted models to help develop preliminary designs from reviewed project data. AI assists the workflow; qualified professionals retain responsibility for validation, review and release.
Both products remain in development. This describes their intended relationship, not a commercially available or fully qualified end-to-end workflow. AV Fields is being prepared for App Store submission; public availability depends on Apple's review and final release checks. AV Suite version 1 is targeted for 2027, subject to change.
Where we are starting
Commercial AV is our first market within a broader focus on residential, commercial, industrial and professional AV work. AV Fields’ approach to field capture may also prove useful in electrical, security and structured cabling work as the product grows.
Those adjacent-trade uses are possibilities for later exploration. They are not supported product capabilities or availability commitments today.
