AP AI Software LLC makes AV Field, an iPad app for audiovisual site surveys, drawings and project documents. This notice explains what the app keeps on your iPad, what goes to Apple, and the little that reaches us. On this website the app is presented as AV Fields. How the website itself handles information is covered by the website privacy notice.
The short version
- Your projects stay on your iPad. If you turn on iCloud, they are also stored in your own private iCloud, which we cannot read.
- AV Field does not send us your projects or personal information. This version has no AP AI account and no sign-in.
- Apple handles your subscription and payment. We never see your payment card.
- AV Field has no advertising, analytics or tracking code, and we do not sell personal information.
Your projects
Survey answers, drawings, photos, room scans, customer PDFs, equipment lists and notes you create in AV Field are saved on your iPad. That includes information about your customers that you enter, such as contact names, email addresses, phone numbers and site addresses. We do not receive any of it.
Camera. AV Field uses the camera to scan rooms with Apple’s RoomPlan and LiDAR, and to take field photos. Scans are processed on your iPad. When you take or choose a photo, AV Field saves its own copy in the project; the original stays in your Photos library. The light meter reads brightness from the camera without saving images.
Microphone. The sound meter measures sound levels while it runs. Nothing is recorded or saved.
Location. AV Field asks for your location only when you tap Geotag, and reads it once. The coordinates are attached to that survey or customer address, and you can remove them. A survey’s geotag is included in that project’s iCloud copy and in its exports.
Exports. When you export or share a project, PDF, DXF, DWG, CSV or ZIP file, it goes where you send it. The people and services you send it to keep their own copies.
Projects you delete move to Recently Deleted on your iPad. Removing AV Field from your iPad removes the projects stored in the app. Your iPad’s own backups may include some AV Field files.
iCloud
iCloud is off until you turn it on in AV Field, and then only the projects you choose are stored. Each chosen project is saved in your private iCloud database through Apple’s CloudKit. Apple stores it under your Apple Account, and AP AI Software cannot access it. Each copy includes the project’s contents and name, and every saved version is kept alongside the latest one.
Syncing runs only while AV Field is open. Turning iCloud off, or deselecting a project, stops future uploads but leaves the copies already in iCloud; AV Field does not delete projects from iCloud. You can remove AV Field’s data from iCloud in your Apple Account’s iCloud storage settings. Apple’s privacy policy covers iCloud.
Subscriptions and purchases
AV Field Pro is sold through the App Store, including its free trial. Apple handles payment, renewals, refunds and your Apple Account. AV Field checks your subscription on your iPad using the signed purchase records Apple keeps there, so it keeps working when you are offline. The app does not send your purchase records or payment details to us.
Apple gives us sales and subscription reports, which do not include your name or email address. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account’s subscription settings, or from AV Field with Manage with Apple. Apple’s privacy policy covers your Apple Account, payments and the App Store.
Support
If you email support@apaisoftware.com or contact@apaisoftware.com, we receive your message and address and use them to respond. Microsoft 365 hosts these mailboxes. Please do not send passwords, payment details or confidential customer files. If we need an example, we will ask for a redacted one.
Service providers and sharing
- Apple provides the App Store, subscriptions and the iCloud storage you turn on.
- Microsoft 365 hosts the support and contact mailboxes.
If you choose to share crash reports and app analytics with app developers in your iPad’s settings, Apple shares that information with us.
We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising. Links to manufacturer websites in AV Field open only when you tap them. We may disclose information when the law requires it.
Children
AV Field is a professional tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices and requests
- In AV Field: turn iCloud off, choose which projects use it, delete projects and manage your subscription with Apple.
- In your iPad’s Settings: allow or remove camera, microphone and location access, and choose whether to share analytics with developers.
- By email: ask contact@apaisoftware.com for a copy of, a correction to, or deletion of information we hold about you, such as your support messages. We will confirm the request comes from you before acting on it.
Changes and contact
We version this notice. When what AV Field collects or how it is used changes, we publish a new version with a new effective date, and earlier versions stay available. If a later version of AV Field adds an AP AI account, we will publish the updated notice before that version is available.
