  • Direct Leica DISTO Bluetooth synchronization

    In development

    Take a distance measurement on the meter and have it arrive in the drawing without retyping.

    We are developing direct Bluetooth synchronization with Leica DISTO laser distance meters.

    Current limitation: No tested device model or firmware range is published yet, so no specific meter should be assumed to be supported.

  • Multiple-manufacturer Bluetooth measurement support

    In development

    Work with laser distance meters from more than one manufacturer rather than a single vendor's hardware.

    We are developing measurement support across laser distance meters from multiple manufacturers.

    Current limitation: No compatibility matrix is published. Supported manufacturers, models and firmware ranges are not established.

  • Full professional CAD-grade floor-plan editing

    In development

    Edit floor plans on site to a standard the design side can build on, not a sketch that has to be redrawn.

    We are developing professional floor-plan editing intended for construction-grade use.

    Current limitation: Not commercially available. No DWG, Revit, IFC or BIM export is offered.

  • Automatic construction-ready reflected-ceiling-plan generation

    Generate a reflected ceiling plan from the captured room rather than drawing it a second time by hand.

    We are developing automatic reflected-ceiling-plan generation from captured room geometry.

    Current limitation: Not commercially available. Output quality and ceiling coverage are still being established against real rooms.

  • A large AV-specific symbol library

    Draw with symbols that mean something to an AV reviewer instead of generic shapes.

    We are developing an AV-specific symbol library for field drawing.

    Current limitation: Not commercially available. Library contents and standards coverage are not finalised.

  • Drag-and-drop AV device placement linked to shared equipment records

    Place a device on the plan and have it stay connected to the equipment record behind it.

    Designed so placed devices stay linked to shared equipment records rather than becoming loose annotations.

    Current limitation: Not commercially available. Cross-product record sharing is being built and is not live.

  • Full one-line signal-flow authoring

    In development

    Author the signal path on site, so system intent is captured while the room is still in front of you.

    We are developing one-line signal-flow authoring within the field application.

    Current limitation: Not commercially available. Authoring scope and export behaviour are still being established.

What it produces

Two of the capabilities above, drawn. These are illustrations of the output, not screenshots of the software — which is in development.

Reflected ceiling plan

Laid out on the 600 mm tile grid, with cut tiles where the room does not divide evenly, and the HVAC diffusers shown because an AV ceiling has to be coordinated with another trade's kit.

One-line signal flow

What connects to what, by which port, over which cable. Transport is called out per segment, because HDBaseT is not HDMI and neither is Dante.

What it is

AP AI Field is the field product in the AP AI Software family. It is a native Apple application for LiDAR-capable devices, oriented toward iPad, built so that measurement, drawing and AV documentation happen in the room rather than being reconstructed later from photographs and notes.

It is not a free auxiliary scanner attached to another product. It is a professional field application, and it may become available before AV Designer AI Copilot does.

The seven launch capabilities

All seven capabilities listed above are required for version 1.0. None of them is deferrable. Every one is in development, and each carries its current limitation above rather than being presented as finished.

Scope

The name is deliberately broader than the launch positioning. AP AI Field is being built AV-first, and every capability above is an AV capability. The name leaves room for adjacent trades without a second rename, but nothing here claims support for them.

Current status

In development. There is no App Store availability, no release date, no supported device list and no published Bluetooth compatibility matrix.
